Joseph Fieo Obituary

Joseph M. Fieo Jr., 63, of DuBois, passed away Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014, at Penn Highlands Healthcare, DuBois. Born July 5, 1951, he was the son of Helen M. (Celko) and the late Joseph M. Fieo Sr. He married Mary Ann T. Kwiatkowski Aug. 3, 1974, in Shamokin, Pa. She survives. Joseph graduated from Highlands High School in Natrona Heights. He earned his associate's degree from Penn State, Reading Campus, and later retired from United Electric Cooperative. He was a member of Central Presbyterian Church in Tarentum. As an avid fly fisherman, he served as a board member for Trout Unlimited and enjoyed surf fishing in the Outer Banks. He was a Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan. He enjoyed working on and cruising in his Mazda Miata. As an animal lover, he enjoyed visiting the Elk Center and interacting with his pet dogs, Bailey and Maddie. In addition to his mother and wife, Joseph is survived by two sisters, Melody Fieo, of Salisbury, Md., and Crystal (Scott) Rennie, of New Castle; a sister-in-law, Nancy (Frank) McCormick, of Paxinos, Pa.; a brother-in-law, Chris (Jen) Kwiatkowski, of Reading; a niece, Jillian (Ryan) Huegel, of Millersville; and two nephews, Jack and Collin Kwiatkowski, of Reading. He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph M. Fieo Sr., in 2009. There will be no public visitation. A family service will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of ADAMSON FUNERAL CHAPEL INC., of DuBois. Memorial donations may be made to UPCI/UPMC Cancer Center Development, UPMC Cancer Pavilion Suite 1B, 5150 Centre Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232 or to the Hahne Cancer Center, 100 Hospital Ave., DuBois, PA 15801.
