Joseph B. Juliane

Joseph Baloh "Jay" Juliane, 62, of Claridge, passed away suddenly on Nov. 28, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. He was a loving husband, a proud father, a great big brother, and a dedicated coach. A devoted family man, Jay was known for his big heart, steady presence, and quiet sense of humor. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and a skilled marksman, and he felt most at home in the outdoors. Jay was also a skilled laborer who worked several jobs over the years, most recently with the Wilkinsburg-Penn Joint Water Authority, where he deeply valued the camaraderie of his coworkers over the decades. In recent years, he found a new passion in coaching high school baseball, where he poured his energy, patience, and love of the game into the kids he worked with. To many, he was not just "Coach Jay," but a mentor and role model. Jay is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy; his son, Anthony Juliane (Sophia Marcinko); sister, Sheila Juliane (Bob Newell); brother, Jeff (Katie) Juliane; sisters-in-law, Kelly McLaughlin and Carol (Rich) Davis; and brother-in-law, Paul (Gina) McLaughlin; as well as his nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and countless friends who will miss him dearly. His impact on his family, friends, players, and community will be felt for years to come. Family and friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 2, 2025, at LINDSAY-JOBE FUNERAL HOME INC., 3343 Route 130, PO Box 465, Harrison City. A Blessing Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3, 2025, at the funeral home, with lunch immediately following.
