Kenneth Ruzbacki Obituary

Kenneth T. "Tookie" Ruzbacki, 73, of Gilpin Township, passed away peacefully Tuesday, July 23, 2013, surrounded by his loving family, in his home. Born Jan. 4, 1940, in East Vandergrift, he was a son of the late John George and Amelia (Skarzinski) Ruzbacki. Ken lived in Gilpin Township since 1978, and served in the Army. He worked as a maintenance supervisor at Allegheny Ludlum in Brackenridge from 1974-2000, and was the owner/operator of Ken's Guns in Gilpin Township. Ken was a member of St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, the Slovak and Lithuanian Clubs and the NRA. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, golfing, woodworking and carpentry. Ken loved going on trips with the family to the Outer Banks. Being the patriarch of his family was his number one priority. In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his son, John Ruzbacki; and brother, John L. Ruzbacki. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Glenna J. (Gaydeski) Ruzbacki; daughters, Charmaine (Todd) Westcoat, of Allegheny Township, Annette M. Ruzbacki, of Gilpin Township, and Julie A. (Christian Ravotta) Ruzbacki, of Vandergrift; grandchildren, Kenneth N., Nikala M. and Stephanie E. Angelini, all of Leechburg; stepgrandchildren, Lauren E., Megan E. and Andrew P. Westcoat, all of Allegheny Township; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 26, 2013, in the BRADY-CURRAN FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATION SERVICES, 429 Franklin Ave., Vandergrift. A Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013, in St. Gertrude Roman Catholic Church, Vandergrift. Interment in St. Gertrude Cemetery, Vandergrift. The family requests memorial contributions be made in Ken's name to: UPMC Hillman Cancer Center, 5115 Center Ave., Pittsburgh, PA 15232.
