Lucille S. Byers

1941 - 2025

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Lucille Schaming Byers announces her passing on the evening of Nov. 4, 2025, with her family by her side. Born on Sept. 25, 1941, Lou was the daughter of the late John Edward and Marge Pirozzi. She was the beloved wife of David Byers of Chapel Downs; and mother of Sheryl (Neil) Hainley of Buffalo Township and April (Louis) Chamboredon of Cheswick. She was the stepmother of Theresa Byers Smith (Rich) of West Deer, Michele Byers Homan (Drew), Robert (Karen) Byers of Georgia, David Ord Byers of Georgia, and honorary daughter, Betsey (Jeff) Jacobsky of Greensburg. Lou had many grandchildren: John Paul Simms, Joseph Simms and Melissa Petri of Texas, William Schaming (Ashley) and Julia Schaming of Greensburg, Amanda Prinkey of Kittanning, Amber Chamboredon of Natrona Heights, Lou Chamboredon (Bethany) of Harmar, Ashley (Joe) Krah of Harwick, Rich and Joe Smith of West Deer, Bryan and Brandon Byers of Georgia. Great-grandchildren: Alyssa Carlisle (Mike Petronio) of Natrona Heights, Lucy Gaines (Carson) of Michigan, Anna Carlisle of Natrona Heights, Antonio Martin of Vandergrift, Lily, Lorelei, and Louie Chamboredon of Harmar, and Sa'yonna Schaming of Greensburg. Lou's great-great-grandson is Ramon Carlisle of Natrona Heights. In addition to her immediate family, Lou is survived by her sister, Patricia Roccosano of Monroeville; numerous nieces and nephews; and her kitties, Shadow and Lazarus, whom she dearly loved. Besides her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Pirozzi; and two sons, John E. Simms and Russell B. Schaming; as well as her great-grandson, Mauro Jay Young. Lou will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her love for her family and her kitties, and the beautiful flower gardens and yard she tended with pride. Lou's daughters express their profound love and appreciation for their stepdad, Dave "Pap" Byers, who gave their mother a beautiful life and was a kind and loving caregiver during her illness. Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 7, 2025, in CHARLES B. JARVIE SPRINGDALE FUNERAL HOME INC., 801 Pittsburgh St., where services will commence at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 8, in the home, with burial to follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens.
