Margaret K. "Margie" (McDermott) Lamperski, 70, of West Deer Township, died Saturday, May 31, 2008, at UPMC Presbyterian. Born April 21, 1938, in Pittsburgh, she had lived in West Deer for more than 41 years. A 1956 graduate of Corpus Christi High School in Pittsburgh, she was a homemaker and enjoyed singing. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, Donald P. Lamperski; two daughters, Donna K. (William) Hayward, of Kirkland, Wash., and Margaret Mary "Maggie" Lamperski, at home; two sons, Douglas P. (Terry) Lamperski, of Cheswick, and Andrew T. (Adrian) Lamperski, of West Deer; five grandchildren, Alex, Zachary and Caleb Lamperski and Benjamin and Samantha Hayward; five brothers, John (Odessa) McDermott, of Dayton, Ohio, Daniel (Kathryn) McDermott, of Monroeville, Robert (Carol) McDermott, of Oakmont, James (Natalie) McDermott, of Wellington, Fla., and Kevin McDermott, of Vandergrift; and three sisters, Eileen (Thomas) Feerst, of Juniper, Fla., Theresa Deak, of Monroeville, and Helen (David) Taylor, of Arnold. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul H. and Helen C. (Wieman) McDermott; son, David Lamperski; brothers, Paul H. McDermott Jr. and Michael A. McDermott; and sister, Patricia Gavlik. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer Township, where parting prayers will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, followed by Christian Funeral Mass in St. Victor Roman Catholic Church, Bairdford. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
