Marie Pazak

Marie (Matus) Pazak, 77, of Blanchard, West Deer Township, died Monday, May 19, 2025, at her home. She was born Feb. 26, 1948, in Natrona Heights to the late Joseph J. and Frances M. (Zelko) Matus. Marie grew up in Creighton, graduating from East Deer-Frazer High School in 1966. She moved to West Deer, where she has lived the past 54 years. Marie was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer. She worked for the former Consulate Health Care of Cheswick, Indiana Township, for over 22 years in the housekeeping department. Marie enjoyed crocheting, gardening, and going to yard sales. Survivors include her daughters, Lisa R. Pazak of State College and Heather A. Pazak of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; and her siblings, Connie Matus of Natrona Heights and Ronald (Rita) Matus of California. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John R. Pazak Jr., on March 30, 2010; and her brother, Raymond Matus, in 2002. Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 22, 2025, in the SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, Russellton, West Deer, where parting prayers will be conducted at noon Friday, May 23, 2025, with a funeral Mass following in Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, Transfiguration Church, Russellton.
