Mark Umbaugh Obituary

Mark Alan Umbaugh Jr., 20, of Vandergrift, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 10, 2021. He was born Feb. 16, 2001, in Natrona Heights. He was a 2019 graduate of Kiski Area High School and Northern Westmoreland Career and Technology. Mark was a carpenter by trade, working in the construction industry. He was an avid outdoorsman who truly loved hunting, fishing, collecting guns and anything outdoors. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family. Mark also enjoyed making everyone laugh and never went without saying his famous line, "My pap told me." He lived life to the fullest and was a joy to be around. He will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Mark is survived by his mother, Heather Oldfield and stepfather, Greg Ausk, of Leechburg; his father, Mark Umbaugh Sr. and stepmother, Tammy Umbaugh, of Vandergrift; a brother, Karson Umbaugh and a sister, Ella Umbaugh, of Vandergrift; grandparents, Jeffrey and Kim Umbaugh, of Leechburg; grandmother, Pam Walborn (Mike), of Leechburg; grandfather, Keith Oldfield, of Vandergrift; four aunts, Becky Umbaugh (Josh and his daughter, Shayln Barr) and cousins, Ryan and Collin Moorhead, of Vandergrift, Holly Oldfield Kauffman, of Washington Township, Kristina Oldfield McDormont, of Apollo, and Sara Oldfield, of Vandergrift; an uncle, William Umbaugh and cousin, Austyn Umbaugh, of Vandergrift; great-grandmothers, Nancy Umbaugh, of Leechburg, and Janet Johnson, of Vandergrift; along with several other aunts, uncles, and stepfamily. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfathers, William Umbaugh, Donald Johnson and James Knepshield; and great-grandmother, Janet Blystone. Friends will be welcomed by his family from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 14, 2021, at CLAWSON FUNERAL & CREMATION CENTER, 170 Main St., Leechburg (724-842-1051). Funeral ceremonies will be private. Interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery in Apollo. All visitors are asked to respectfully follow current state guidelines of required masks/face coverings, social distancing and gathering restrictions. Mark was a friend. I just met him about a year ago. I never had to look for him when I was out and about because as soon as he would see me I would hear AAAAA KUNK WHATS UP. and he had a huge smile. I will miss my my little buddy Mark I wish we had more time RIP my Friend I will see you again
