Mary T. Nock

1949 - 2025

Mary T. Nock, 76, of Norvelt, passed away on Nov. 29, 2025. Born on Oct. 25, 1949, in Mt. Pleasant, she was the beloved daughter of the late John and Margaret Nock. Mary was a 1967 graduate of Greensburg Central Catholic and went on to earn her bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Pittsburgh in 1971. She spent many years working diligently for the state of Pennsylvania as a disability benefits coordinator, where her dedication and compassion touched the lives of many. In her personal life, Mary found joy in walking, tending to her yard, caring for her beloved cats, and immersing herself in the world of books. Her gentle spirit and love for simple pleasures will be dearly missed by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Margaret Nock; and her brother, Thomas Nock. Mary is survived by her brothers, John (Cindy) and James (Bonnie) Nock; her sister, Margaret Nock; and her cherished nieces and nephews, Robert, Judy, Teri, Ben, and Jessica Nock; along with great-nieces and nephews. Services for Mary have been entrusted to HOFFER WILT FUNERAL HOME in Norvelt. A graveside inurnment service in St. Florian Cemetery will be announced at a later date, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.
