Mary T. Polczynski

1931 - 2016

Mary T. Polczynski, 85, of Lower Burrell, died Friday, July 15, 2016, in Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. She was born in Natrona on March 20, 1931, to the late John and Hedwig "Agnes" Borowski Kowalski. Mary lived all her life in the local area. She graduated from St. Joseph High School and worked at K-Mart for 29 years where she was known for her great customer service. Mary was a member of St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell, and a previous member of Christian Mothers of St Mary of Czestochowa Church, New Kensington. She was dedicated to the March for Life in Washington, D.C., and enjoyed bringing the family together for holiday dinners. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Frank Polczynski; daughter, Anita (Richard) Comer, of New Kensington; grandchildren, Matthew Comer, Maria (Daniel) Ritchie; and great-granddaughter, Amelia Ritchie. Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Walter, Frank, Joseph, Edmund, Leonard, Henry and Stanley Kowalski; sisters, Loretta "Lottie" Sowinski, Eleanor Polczynski and Clara Jakubowski.
Friends will be received Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. in the RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, Lower Burrell, where a blessing service will be held at 9:30 a.m. Monday followed by Christian funeral Mass at 10 a.m. by the Rev Kenneth Zaccagnini in St. Margaret Mary Church, Lower Burrell. Burial will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell. Parish wake service at 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
