Mason Wood, 25, of Ford City, passed away tragically Sunday, June 6, 2021. He was born Dec. 15, 1995, the son of Rochelle (Stephen) Wood-Burns and the late Erin Wood. Mason was a graduate of Ford City High School, a member of the Church of Christ in Kittanning, and worked as a labor operator at JW Yeager Industrial Contracting Inc. Mason's favorite pastimes were the outdoors, where he was always hunting, fishing and shooting. He enjoyed having a fire with loved ones and a Friday night at Lernerville Speedway. He loved life and cherished the time spent with his family, especially his beloved daughter. Mason's smile and laughter will be missed by everyone. He is survived by his mother, Rochelle Wood-Burns and Stephen Burns, of Ford City; a daughter, Oaklie Erin Wood; two sisters, Paige Wood, of Florida, and Olyvia Burns, of Ford City; a brother, Logan Burns, of Ford City; and four grandparents, Gary (Dixie) Wood, of Manorville, Fredrick Bargerstock, of Kittanning, and Linda Bargerstock, of Apollo. In addition to Mason's father, Erin Wood, he was preceded in death by his great-grandma, Vivian Dunn, and his step-grandparents, Glen and Millie Walters. Family and friends will be received for a celebration of life from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Friday, June 11, 2021, with Pastor Larry Krause officiating at the JANETTE L.
