Nallan C. "Lucky" Lakshmanan, 67, of Pittsburgh, formerly of New Kensington, died Saturday, Dec. 25, 2010. Born March 14, 1943, in Madrais, India, to the late Tirumalacharyar Nallan Chakravarthi and Renganayaki Nallan Chakravarthi and he emigrated to the United States 30 years ago. Mr. Lakshmanan was a jewelry and automobile salesman for several Pittsburgh area companies. More recently, he was a cook for the Pittsburgh Convention Center, PNC Park and Heinz Field. He was an avid Steelers Fan. His children survive him, John Stevin Lakshmanan, of Eagleville, Anitha Erin Lakshmanan, of New Kensington, Prameela Elizabeth "Millie" Lakshmanan, of Cabot, and Curtis Ajay Lakshmanan, of Leechburg; grandchildren, De'var Cramer, Killian Harbision and Milei Lakshmanan; four brothers who live in India, Gopalakrishnan Nallan Chakravarthi, Sarangan Nallan Chakravathi, Sampath Nallan Chakravarthi and Raman Nallan Chakravathi; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He is also survived by his former wife, Matilda Marion McCurdy Lakshmanan, of New Kensington. Private services will be held Thursday in the ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington, 724-335-1234, after which friends will be received at the family home after 1:30 p.m. at 5 Seventh Street Ext., New Kensington.
