Nicholas Zarichansky Obituary

Nicholas Zarichansky, 92, of Hartsville, TN, formerly of North Huntingdon, died Sunday February 9, 2025. He was born September 5, 1932 in Braddock, a son of the late John Ivan and Catherine (Samischek) Zarichansky. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Mary M. (Conner) Zarichansky, their son Patrick Michael Zarichansky and siblings Mary Ann Rullo and Michael, Anthony, Andrew, John, and Theodore Zarichansky. Nick earned his bachelor's degree in Education and master's degree in Secondary School Administration. He retired as the director of the Northern Westmoreland Area Vocational-Technical School in New Kensington and was the founding director. He was a member of St. Stephen's Byzantine Catholic Church, North Huntingdon. He is survived by his son Matthew P. Zarichansky and his wife Cindy of Hartsville, TN; his grandchildren Trevor (Amanda) Sanders, Nicholas (Lindsey) Zarichansky, Lydia (Eli) Harness, Phillip, Miriam, Owen, and Bethany Zarichansky; great grandchildren Everly and Houston Zarichansky and Trenton Sanders, also nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, February 13, at the William Snyder Funeral Home, 521 Main Street, Irwin. The Great Panachida service will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Prayers will be led at 9 a.m. Friday, February 14, in the funeral home followed by the Divine Liturgy at 10 a.m. in St. Stephen Byzantine Catholic Church.
