Norma J. Bartholic

Norma Jean (Foust) Bartholic, 93, of Tarentum, passed away peacefully at home, Tuesday, Sept. 26, 2023. She was born Aug. 9, 1930, in Curtisville, to the late Charlie and Annie (Barger) Foust. Norma was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a Tarentum business owner for many years. Norma enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and spending time with her family. She loved a good party, and there was always laughter and happiness when she was around. Norma is survived by her children, Gloria (Joseph) Moxie, of Creighton, Richard (Diane) Bartholic, of Ames, Iowa, and Darlene Bartholic, of Allegheny Township; five grandchildren, David (Catherine) Shutak, Jeffrey Shutak, Lorie (James) Lassinger, Derek Bartholic and Kyle (Danielle) Bartholic; 14 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and by her brother, John E. "Jack" Foust, of Cabot. In addition to her parents, Norma was preceded in death by her husband, Charles R. Bartholic, on April 6, 2001; brothers, Howard, Richard and Chuck Foust; and by her sisters, Arlene Leslie, Martha Brown, Louise Malethic and Ester Neff. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688, where funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. Monday. Officiating will be her grandson, Pastor Kyle Bartholic. Burial will follow in Lakewood Memorial Gardens, Indiana Township.
