Phyllis A. Hancock

1934 - 2016

Phyllis Arlene Hancock, 82, of North Apollo, passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2016, at West Haven Manor. She was born March 20, 1934, in Apollo, Sugar Hollow, a daughter of the late James F. and Margaret Agnes Faber Morrow. Before her retirement, she was employed at Traversa's Restaurant and Carpentiers Restaurant as a waitress. Phyllis was also a caregiver to many. She enjoyed socializing, sewing, traveling, talking to her friends on the phone and watching the game show channel, especially her favorite host, Steve Harvey. She is survived by three children, Pamela Sue Speer and her husband, Ted, of Apollo, Roberta Hancock and his wife, Roberta, of Apollo and Randy Hancock and his wife, Barbra, of Spring Church; five grandchildren, James Speer, of Newport News, Va., Angelica Lynn Hancock and her wife, Charlene Guzzo, of New Jersey, Brandi Lynn Hancock (Carl King), of Apollo, Zachary J. Hancock and his wife, Shanny, of North Apollo, and Courtney Anne Hancock (Casey Weyant), of Pittsburgh; and two great-grandchildren, Noah Charlie Salvatore Hancock and Madyson Rose Hall. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Harry Patterson.
Family will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18, 2016, in the KELLY L. CORRIDONI FUNERAL HOME LTD., 1916 Moore Ave., North Apollo. Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2016, in the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Campbell officiating. Interment will take place in Riverview Cemetery, Apollo.
