Dr. Regina C. Rinderer

Dr. Regina Carol Rinderer, 79, of Saginaw, Mich., passed away Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, at her home. Regina was born in Uniontown, the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Lovrich) Tuskan. She earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1964, her PhD from Ohio State University in 1978 and her MRE from the Catholic University of America in 1987. Regina was a professor of English at Delta College from 1989 until 2011. She was a devoted Catholic and active with the Catholic community in Saginaw, serving as a lector and RCIA catechist over the years among other ministries. Regina was known for her ballroom dancing skills, enjoyed reading and loved creative writing. She had a passion for learning and exploring new careers or volunteer efforts, including director of religious education, tutor and life coach. Memories of Regina will be cherished by her brothers, Ron (Donna) Tuskan and Jerome (Anita) Tuskan; nieces and nephews, Justin (Caitlin) Tuskan, Julianne (Gregory) Wagner and Jessica Tuskan; cousins, Rosemary (Joseph) Pascia and Dennis Bailey; and great-nieces and nephew, Emma Tuskan and Scarlett, Shelby and Samuel Wagner. A memorial Mass will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 8, 2024, at Mt. Saint Peter Roman Catholic Church, 100 Freeport Road, New Kensington, PA 15068. Burial will be private.
