Robert B. Frank

1920 - 2017

Robert B. Frank, 96, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away Thursday, Feb. 9, 2017, at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was a longtime resident of Natrona Heights. Robert was born Sept. 9, 1920, in Salem, Ohio, a son of the late Rev. C. Frederick Frank and Jennie Zora (Smith) Frank. He worked at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Brackenridge, for 45 years in the chem lab. Robert was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed exercising. Survivors include his daughter, Shirley (Ronald) Arbuckle, of New Kensington; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ethel M. (Buch) Frank; his son, Bruce M. Frank; three brothers, Christian Frederick Frank, George L. Frank and Paul Frank; and two sisters, Elizabeth Silvis and Eleanor O'Bryan.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017, in the PAUL R. AJAK FUNERAL HOME INC., 2 Pine St., and River Ave., Natrona. Services will follow at 6 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home, with his nephew, the Rev. Paul N. Frank, officiating. Burial will be private in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
