Robert Karpiak

Robert "Bob" Karpiak, 87, formerly of Delmont, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, at his Concordia Ridgewood residence in Plum. He was born on Oct. 19, 1937, the son of the late Stephen and Mary (Varnak) Karpiak. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his beloved wife of over 55 years, Patricia (Allen) Karpiak; and his sisters, Betsy Sandridge and Dolly DePellegrin. Robert will be deeply missed by his sons, Jeff Dolnack (Chris) and Rick Dolnack; and his daughters, Sue (Suezi) Mohr (Keith) and Patti Garrigan (Tom); along with his brother, Paul Karpiak; his sister, Kitty Serrao; his grandchildren, Amy Lowe (Tim), Allie Dolnack, Amber Hezlep (Jeremy), Sarah Ross, Julia Ross, Daniel Garrigan, and Gavin Garrigan; his great-grandchildren, Mason, Brynn, Micah, Lily, and Charlotte; as well as his nieces and nephews, Linda, Kim, Paula, Donna, Debbie, Denise, Diana, Darlene, Duane, Blaine, Tracey, and Ronnie (deceased). Bob was an avid Pirates baseball fan, a devoted follower of Jesus, and a man of quiet strength and dry wit. A gifted writer and teacher with a gentle spirit, he found joy in words, whether crafting stories, journaling prayers and teachings, or encouraging others with heartfelt notes. He had a profound appreciation for the simple joys of life. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, at Faith Global Methodist Church in Delmont.
