Robert "Bob" Dean Peace, 50, of Whitaker, formerly of Kiski Township, died Saturday, Aug. 21, 2010, at his home in Whitaker. He was born April 13, 1960, in Natrona Heights, a son of Robert Dale Peace and his biological mother, Dorothy (Myers) Miller. Bob attended Apollo-Ridge High School and he lived in Kiski Township and Pittsburgh since 1977. He was employed as a security guard for Carnegie Mellon University for five years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and watching NASCAR. Bob was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Diane (Myers) Miller. He is survived by his significant other, Carla M. (Hellmers) Wilcox, of Whitaker; father, Robert D. "Bob" Peace, of Kiski Township; step-mother, Barbara V. Peace, of Kiski Township; daughter, Brandy D. Peace, of New York, N.Y.; step-daughter, Carrie A. Charles, of Whitaker; step-sons, Wayne G. Wilcox, of South Park, and James R. White, of Nichols, Ga.; three step-grandchildren; brothers, Michael R. (Aimee) Peace, of Kiski Township, Richard D. (Yelena) Peace, of Seattle, Wash., and Russell D. (Norman) Peace, of Haines City, Fla.; sisters, Denise D. Peace, of New Kensington, Dana D. (George) Piwcko, of Georgia, Bonnie D. Peace (and nephew, Sam), of Kiski Township, and Barbara D. (Richard) Wolmendorf, of Apollo; step-brother, Franklin Miller, of Georgia; and lifelong friend, Rich Lyons, of Pittsburgh. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the CURRAN-SHAFFER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY INC., 100 Owens View Ave., Apollo, PA 15613, where services will be held at 8 p.m. Tuesday with the minister, Margie Funk, officiating.
