Went to high school with Bob; he played guard on the football team @<150#! He was tough and determined. He was a runner and every week he would either run to or from Pittsburgh, taking the bus one way. Tough, disciplined and a great guy is how I'll remember him. RIP, Bob.

Went to high school with Bob. Was on the track team with him. Great guy and always positive. May the Lord bless and comfort his family at this time.

From my perspective, Bob was one of the "cool" guys. He had a smooth and easy- going temperament, always kind and accepting of others. The last time we spoke, it was in downtown Pittsburgh ( July 1970) as I was headed to basic training after being drafted. Like it was meant to be, we ran into each other on the street in front of the Federal Building. Bob was in uniform, having just returned from Vietnam. With a notable caring concern in his voice, Bob said to me, "Hey man, be careful and take care of yourself." I carried his words with me for the time I spent in the Army and beyond. I will always remember our encounter that day.
May Bob enjoy all that Jesus offers in a Kingdom that is free and forever.
My sincere condolences to Bob's family.
