Russell Alan Adamiak, 54, of Lawrenceville, formerly of Arnold, died Thursday, Nov. 23, 2017, in UPMC Shadyside, Pittsburgh, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born Sept. 27, 1963, in New Kensington, to Rudolph Victor and Jane Planovsky Adamiak, of Arnold. Russell grew up in Arnold and was a 1981 graduate of St. Joseph's High School in Natrona Heights. In 1986, he graduated from Penn State University with a bachelor's degree in petroleum and natural gas engineering. He enjoyed a distinguished, 28-year career in the energy industry and lived throughout the United States; Caracas, Venezuela; Dubai, UAE; and most recently Moscow, Russia. He retired from Exterran Corp. at 50 to enjoy fishing at his camp north of Tidioute and spend time with his family. Russell attended St. Vladimir Ukrainian Catholic Church, and later, Our Lady of the Angels Church in Lawrenceville. He was preceded in death by his father, Rudolph Adamiak, in 1980. In addition to his mother, Jane Adamiak, he is survived by brothers, Raymond (Joyce) Adamiak, of Seabrook, Texas, Robert (Saundra) Adamiak, of Ocala, Fla., Ronald (Valerie) Adamiak, of Arnold, and Roger (Jacque) Adamiak, of O'Hara Township. He also is survived by nieces, Shannon, Nicole, Autumn, Amber, Emily and Rudi; and nephews, Ronald, Matthew, Justin, Jason and Josef.
Private funeral services were held in St. Vladimir's Church, followed by burial in Union Cemetery, Arnold. www.RusiewiczFH.com.

Dear Russ's family, I am so sorry to hear this sad news... I am really sad ... I worked with Russ more than 5 years in Exterran. He was amazing person. I learned this sad news 2 days ago and was very shocked, my deepest condolences.. God bless his Soul. Russ was not only a colleague, he was my friend and brother.
