Salina M. Duceour, 42, of Sarasota, Fla., passed away Sunday, July 18, 2021, after an 11-month battle with interstitial lung disease. She was surrounded by her loving family in her parents' home. Salina was the first-born daughter of Stephen and Sandra Duceour, of Lower Burrell. Salina was a 1997 graduate of St. Joseph High School, Natrona Heights, and attended California University of Pennsylvania. Salina was a resident of Lower Burrell until 1999, when she moved to Stafford, Va. She loved working with children and was employed by the Goddard School and Fairfax County School District. Salina always loved the beach and moved to Sarasota in 2010, where she worked as a quality assurance specialist for Community Concepts Inc. & Community Visions LLC. Salina was a Disney fanatic and held season passes to WDW throughout her residency in Florida. She enjoyed sharing this love with her son, Zachary. They enjoyed WDW fine dining, exploring all of the park activities, and especially attending the behind-the-scenes events. Salina also enjoyed reading murder mysteries, watching true crime TV and going to the movies. Besides her parents, survivors include her beloved son, Zachary Welsh; and granddaughter, Cambria Alexis Baker, both of Fredericksburg, Va.; a sister, Sara (Tyler) Gingery, of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Samantha (Victor) Ferruolo, of Pittsburgh; and her two favorite nephews, Andrew and Nathan Ferruolo. Salina requested a celebration of her life in lieu of a funeral. Friends and family will be received from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, July 31, 2021, at Northmoreland Park Activity Center (Boathouse), located at 280 Markle Road, Apollo, PA 15613.
