Stella E. Alcorn

Stella E. (Bogacki) Alcorn, 90, of West Deer Township, died Wednesday Nov. 3, 2021, at Paramount Senior Living at Cranberry. She was born May 8, 1931, in Natrona (Ducktown), to the late John and Hedwig (Mulkytin) Borgacki. Stella grew up in Natrona, graduating from Har-Brack High School, Class of 1949. Stella was a homemaker and has lived in West Deer for the past 61 years. She was a member of Our Lady of the Lakes Parish, West Deer. Stella was a member of the former Christian Mother's of the former St. Victor Church and was very active making the baptismal bibs for the church. Stella enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family. Survivors include her son, Kirk J. Alcorn, of Tarentum; her nieces and nephews whom she and her husband raised as their own children, Brian Skeen, of Myersville, Md., Nedra (Jonathan) Markley, of Akron, Ohio, Brock Skeen, of Myersville, Md., and Tobrina (Edward) Sedlmyer, of Baden, her grandchildren, Alisha (Ryan) Johnson, of Grove City, and Joshua (Lauren) Alcorn, of Natrona Heights; great-grandchildren, Madison, Gavin, Hudson and Ayla; and her sisters, Dolores Smiesko, of Youngstown, Ohio, Marie Melnotte, of Pittsford, N.Y., and Loretta Bogacki, of Natrona. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Alcorn, on Jan. 10, 2004; four sisters; and three brothers. At Stella's request all viewing and services were private. Arrangements were entrusted to SIWICKI-YANICKO FUNERAL HOME, 23 McKrell Road, West Deer Township, Russellton, PA 15076. She was privately laid to rest next to her husband in East Union Cemetery, West Deer.
