Tamara Allenberg Obituary

Tamara Mae "Tami" Allenberg, 66, of Natrona Heights. passed away from ovarian cancer on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, at her home in Natrona Heights. Tami was born on Aug. 3, 1951, in Alexandria, Va., to Clyde and Betty (Miller) Kernen. Tami graduated from Highlands High School in 1970. During that year, Tami bravely cared for her mother during a terminal battle with cancer, and was later adopted by Paul and Mary Killian. Tamara was an artist who created handpainted customized clothing, Christmas ornaments, murals and canvas paintings that became treasured objects in the homes of her clients and other businesses. Later in life, she launched Just For You By Tami, and included wedding and portrait photography in her services. Friends, family and clients will always have a piece of Tami in their wedding albums and framed on their walls in the art they received from her. Family was the most important thing in Tami's life, and she valued being a mother, stepmother, wife and grandmother more than anything else. After she was diagnosed with Stage IV ovarian cancer in 2010, Tami defied statistics by bravely enduring biweekly treatments for months at a time. With God's grace, she survived for more than seven years. She embraced life and took the opportunity to travel, spend time with her best friends and siblings and let everyone that she loved know how important they are to this world. Tami was survived by her husband, Jack Allenberg; her adopted mother, Mary Killian; her children, Robert (Ashley) Singer, of Natrona Heights, Misty Chybrzynski, of Natrona, Pastor Nicholas (Niki) Chybrzynski, of Tarentum, and Jessica Allenberg, of Vandergrift; grandchildren, Robert Luc, John Paul, Trent, Savannah, Tyarah, Tyrone Jr. and Milleena; brothers, Clyde (Gwendolyn) Kernen, Jeff (Angelic) Killian, Greg (Lauri) Killian, Bob (Kim) Killian and Paul (Bonnie) Killian, and Don (Mary) Allenberg, Richard (Sue) Allenberg and Jeff (Cindy) Allenberg; sisters, Robin Garrison, Sandra (Tom) Murphy and Paula Leal, Dawn (Shawn) Schreckengost, Nancy Swiklinski, Antoinette (Edward) Holben and Joni (Ken) Horciciak; and by many nieces, nephews and amazing lifelong friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepson, Jason Allenberg; sisters, Lynette Killian, Lori Sadowski, Ruth Chlebina and Dorothy Gavalek; and brother, William Allenberg.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday in the CICHOLSKI-ZIDEK FUNERAL HOME INC., 1522 Carlisle St., Natrona Heights, 724-224-8688. Funeral ceremonies will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Generations House of Worship, Brackenridge. Officiating will be her son, Pastor Nicholas Chybrzynski. Burial will be private.
