Tanell B. Williams

1983 - 2018

Tanell Barbara Williams, aka Beauty Queen, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, June 23, 2018. She was born at Hollywood Presbyterian Hospital in Hollywood, Calif., to her mother, Tanua LaSon Williams, and her father, Darnell Masi Williams, in 1983. Her professions in life were always first, hair and beauty, for which she attended beauty school in East Liberty. After graduating, she immediately got hired at beauty salon and even resided there for a while. She also attended CCAC for nursing later in life in New Kensington. Tanell was all about her immediate family and loved unconditionally her mother and father; her younger brother, James Orlando O'Quinn; and her baby sister, Cassandra LeeAnne Williams-Richards. She was all about her many, many family members and friends who all loved and cherished her back. Tanell lived her life to the fullest and was her happiest when she met her one true love and fiancé, Tony (Nello) Orenthal Floyd. King and Queen, Bonnie and Clyde, Prince and Princess, absolute royalty -- until death did them part. They built their empire together as one for her last five years with pride, respect, glory, honor and class. I can honestly say, he loved her and she loved him with all their hearts, minds and souls, and absolutely nothing could have separated them but death. May Jehovah, God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit surround you with their love, peace and joy, Tanell Barbara Williams, for eternity. She followed in death her grandmothers, Yvonne Brown, Barbara Williams and Thelma Taper; grandfathers, David A. D'Argan Sr. and Fletcher Williams Sr.; aunts, Christine Taper, Lois (Cookie) Green, Ernistine Wilson and Maxine Lawson; and uncles, David A. D'Argan Jr. and Orlando A. D'Argan. She is survived in life by her mother, Tanua LaSon D'Argan-Williams; father, Darnell Masi Williams; brother, James Orlando O'Quinn; sister, Cassandra LeeAnne Williams-Richards; her fiance, Tony Orenthal Floyd; grandmother, Geraldine D'Argan; uncles, Scott Taper Jr., Fletcher Williams Jr., Ramon Williams, Fred Lawson, Talor Williams Kurt Benjamin, Quintin Jones and Jack Williams; aunts, Justina Nolan, Nina Taper-Scott, Michelle D'Argan-Deegan, Theresa Wilder, Lois D'Argan-Bent and Mary Anne Taper-Knuckles; and a host of cousins too many to mention from both sides of the family, and I do apologize about that. Special mentionables, love and thanks to Aunt Puddin; Uncle Jr.; Elizabeth Green-Vining; Tony Orenthal Floyd; Jasmine Dukes plus her sons, Tanell's godsons, Cencere and Prince; Kasmin James; Johonna Price; and Tamara Tita. Viewing will be from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday at ROSS G. WALKER FUNERAL HOME LTD., 217 Freeport Road, New Kensington. Services will follow the viewing with Pastor Marvin Hill officiating.
