Thomas Kunicki Obituary

Thomas J. Kunicki, 46, of Sarver, Buffalo Township, died unexpectedly at 3 p.m. Friday (April 25, 2003) at his home.

Born March 3, 1957, in Harrison Township, he lived in Buffalo Township his entire life. He was a 1975 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Harrison. A pipe fitter, he worked in the No. 3 department at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corp., Brackenridge plant. He also worked in the machine shop of UniFirst Corporation in New Kensington for a number of years. Mr. Kunicki was a member of St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Cabot, Winfield, Oregon Hunting and Fishing Club in Brackenridge, Natrona Knights of Columbus and Tarentum Masonic Lodge. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and collected trains, pocket watches and clocks. Surviving are his wife of two years, Debra J. Spohn Klabnik Kunicki; his two day old daughter, Alyssa Ruth Kunicki, at home; his father, Jerome A. "Harry" Kunicki of Buffalo Township; and a sister, Mrs. Margaret K. (Louis) Heifner of Pittsburgh. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret J. Hranica Kunicki in 1990. Relatives and friends will be received from 2 to 9 p.m. Monday in the DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., Tenth Avenue at Corbet Street, Tarentum. Christian Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Cabot, with his pastor, the Rev. Michael P. Greb officiating. Burial will be in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights. Oregon Club members will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the funeral home for a service.
