Thomas "Tom" Simonetti, 74, of Russellton, West Deer Township, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 6, 2023, at Canterbury Place, Pittsburgh. He was born March 3, 1949, in New Kensington, son of the late Biagio and Veronica (Cesnick) Simonetti, and lived in West Deer all of his life. Tom was a graduate of West Deer High School, Class of 1967, and received a master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh in engineering. Tom earned his Professional Engineering License and worked for John T. Boyd Co., Canonsburg, as an environmental engineer in the coal mining industry. His employment gave him the opportunity to travel the world. He enjoyed playing golf with work associates, watching all Pittsburgh sports, and car racing. Tom also had a love for watching live music, going to concerts all over the area. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Deborah "Debbie" (Shurina) Simonetti; daughter, Caranina "Nina" (Richard Nock) Simonetti, of Wexford; grandson, Dylan Simonetti; brothers, David (Cindy) Simonetti, of Lower Burrell, and Roger Simonetti, of West Deer Township; and nieces and many cousins. I knew Tom back in the 70's, he was a great guy and was a real comedian. So sorry to hear of his passing. May he RIP.

Tom was a class guy with a great sense of humor. He will be sorely missed by all that had the pleasure of knowing him - whether it be from work or enjoying a cold one after playing a round of golf. RIP Tom. Hit 'em straight!

Tom was a great friend at the office. We traveled the world including this 1992 visit to a small village in the middle of Africa. The children loved Tom as he brought over a large bag of school supplies for the local school. Everyone loves Tom. We will miss him.
