Velma R. Herbulock, 101, Natrona Heights, passed away Monday, April 23, 2018, at Morning Pointe, Clinton, Tenn. She was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Brownsville, Pa., to the late Vincent and Hermina (Pravda) Frederick. Velma was a homemaker and lived in Natrona Heights for 62 years where she was a member of Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights, and recently a member of St. Therese parish, Clinton, Tenn. She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and enjoyed playing cards, going to casinos and making people laugh, but she especially enjoyed her family, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Survivors include her children, Joseph T. (Patricia) Herbulock, of St. Paul, Minn., and Wellington, New Zealand; Janice P. (Donald) Watkins, of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; grandchildren, Dacia Herbulock, of Wellington, New Zealand, Marisa Defay, of Lexington, Mass., Christina Clark, of Tampa, Florida, and Justin Watkins, of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; and great-grandchildren, Sebastian and Isadora, of Wellington, New Zealand, John and Benjamin, of Lexington, Mass., and Christopher and Richard, of Lithia, Fla. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph F. Herbulock, in 1996; sisters Helen Trygina, Zella Vilsack, Margaret Burger, Ermalene Kuchta and Mary Frederick; and a brother, Vincent Frederick.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at DUSTER FUNERAL HOME INC., 347 E. 10th Ave., Tarentum, 724-224-1526. A Christian funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday in Most Blessed Sacrament Church, Natrona Heights. Burial will be in Our Lady of Hope Cemetery, Frazer Township.
