Edward Stevens Obituary

Edward Stevens
June 9, 1960 - June 18, 2022
Poulsbo, Washington - Eddie Stevens, beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, passed away Saturday June 18, at the age of 62, following a mighty fight with cancer. He loved music without any specific genre preference. From The Beach Boys to Queen Latifah. He was born and raised in Tacoma. He spent decades working for Masterman Vending. He loved pinball with a passion and was inspired to play from the movie, Tommy. He was a devoted Catholic. He never missed mass and went to any parish where Pierce Transit would take him. He came home with church bulletins from Olympia to Seattle. He went to swap meets and collected CDs and movies, as well as spare parts for every type of musical player and television. He loved to sing the low parts on songs with his sisters. He forgave easily and apologized quickly, and never held grudges. He is survived by his father, Clarence Stevens, his sisters, Teresa (Larry), Cathy (Ray), Tina (Tony), his nephews, Christopher(Jenny), Daniel (Nikki), Larry III, Isaiah, nieces, Gabrielle, Anna, Olivia, Megan, his Great nieces Lela, Gianna, and Juniper and great nephews Travis,

Eddie grew up near my neighborhood. I will always remember Eddie as the mainstay of South Tacoma and our hearts. My parents invited him in many times for a visit and would invite him to stay for dinner. He enjoyed visiting with you..he loved "connection" to people. And you would be the fortunate one if you gave him some of your time. I read in his obituary that he forgave easily and apologized quickly, never holding a grudge. These things are like priceless gems...we all can learn from Eddie! God Bless Eddie for he is in God´s protection and loving arms. Margie Smith Mautino

Praying for the Steven's family as they grieve the passing of Eddie. He was such a staple of our South Tacoma neighborhood growing up. Eddie probably knew Tacoma better then anyone else, because he turned up everywhere! My your memories of Eddie bring you all peace and comfort.
