Enumclaw, Washington - Eugene Allen Dehline was born on January 31, 1936 to Pearl and David Dehline, in Cumberland, WI and passed away in Enumclaw, WA on April 14, 2023.
Gene graduated from Auburn Adventist Acadamy in 1954. He joined the U.S. Army in January 1961 and spent much of his 3 year enlistment in Germany. His working years were spent as a carpenter and he was a member of the Carpenter's Union Local 129 for 60 years. He worked over 35 years for Woodworth & Co. in Tacoma, WA.
In his retirement years, he enjoyed playing in the woods and sand dunes in his Land Cruiser, traveling south to Arizona in the winter and north to Canada in the summer.
Eugene was preceded in death by his parents David and Pearl, and brother Roger. He is survived by spouse Marleen, sister Gloria, son Steven (Patsy), twelve grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren.
On May 15th, a memorial will be held from 1:00-2:30 PM at the Auburn City Seventh-day Adventist Church, 402 29th St. SE, Auburn, WA. He will be interred with military honors at Tahoma National Cemetery, 18600 SE 240th St., Kent, WA at 3 PM.
