Florence was recently honored by the City of Tacoma for over 60 years of continuous voting, a privilege she took seriously. Preceding Florence in death are her husband Jim, daughter Dr. Joan Grenier Dahl, brothers Charles and James Schuler, and her parents. She is survived by her sister Genny Odegard, her daughters Jaime Woodard, Jean White, Judy Beeles, Jeri Jaap, and Jill Pribbenow, grandchildren Chuck, Jaime, Jerilyn, Peri, and Ben, and 3 greatgrandchildren. She had numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and loving friends. Her Funeral Mass will take place at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 5510 N 44th St., Tacoma, at 11:00AM on Monday, October 11, 2010. Rosary and visitation will be at Gaffney Funeral Home on Sunday, October 10, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Florence was a strong supporter of Holy Cross Parish and Holy Rosary School. The funeral for your mother was beautiful. Listening to Fr. speak about the life she and your father had with you girls, listening to Jeri, it all just made the light shine bright on everyone that morning. What a wonderful lady. Spending time Jill, at your house all those years ago, gave me memories I'll cherish forever. To see you sad made me sad. I loved your momma and I'll always love you. And please let Mike know his version of Amazing Grace was more than Amazing. Wow. Truely another gift from God! Love and peace to you all,

Death does not extinguish the light. It is simply putting down the lamp because The Dawn has come.
