GARY J. HECKER

Gary J. Hecker April 6, 1942 - Nov. 29, 2009 Gary was born in Dickinson, North Dakota. After graduating from Lincoln H.S. (1959), he became a welder in various shipyards. He later became a bartender at the Cliff House, Johnny's Dock, Main Yon, and Chieftain restaurants. Gary always served stiff drinks and great jokes. He always had cool cars. Gary was a devoted son, a loving and caring brother, and a terrific uncle. Gary was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Barbara. He leave behind a sister, Bev (Don) Drago, brother Harv (Doris) Hecker, nephews John, Brian, Randy and Matt, niece Nancy, their families, and numerous cousins and friends, especially his loyal friend Dave Roberts. The vigil (rosary) will be held 7 pm Thursday, December 3, 2009 at Piper-Morley-Mellinger Funeral Home, 5436 South Puget Sound, Tacoma. Funeral Mass at 11 am Friday, December 4, at the Church of the Visitation, 3314 South 58th, Tacoma.
