GLENNA DAVIDSON Obituary

GLENNA KENT DAVIDSON This kind and gentle lady passed from this life on February 27, 2010. She was born in Seattle on May 22, 1928, and three days later was adopted by her loving parents, Leonard and Katherine Kent of Port Orchard. She graduated from South Kitsap High School and attended Olympic College and the University of Washington. While working in the state Auditors Office in Olympia, she met and married Colonel (then Lieutenant) Kenneth E. Davidson, who was stationed at Fort Lewis. She enjoyed being an Army wife and the camaraderie that went with it. She was always happy to volunteer and while at Fort Lewis in later years was President of the Officers Wives Club, Chairman of the Red Cross Blood BankEVolunteers, and worked diligently in the Thrift Shop each week. She is survived by her husband Ken, son Ken, Jr. and wife Jane of London, England, daughter Kathleen Mays and husband Mike Mays of University Place, and stepson Rick and wife Diane of Austin, Texas. In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public funeral or memorial service. She will be laid to rest in the New Tacoma Cemetery where she will spend eternity next to her loving husband. The family wishes to thank the ladies of the Special Care Unit of Patriots Landing for their loving care for the past three years.

March 15, 2010

We wish to extend our deepest sympathies to Colonel Ken Davidson on the loss of his wife Glenna. My wife and I do remember the Davidson's as I was honored to have served under his command when he commanded the USA Readiness Region IX at Fort Lewis. We also extend our condolences to the entire family and know that you have lost the most cherished member of the family. May her soul rest in peace.
