Tacoma, Washington - Daughter, sibling, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend: she was all of these and will be remembered by everyone who knew her.
She was also fearless, quirky in a lovable way, as smart as a whip, and she loved her Savior. He loved her, too, and He walked her home on April 14, 2022. Her children tried to follow her lead and for the most part, we succeeded. Especially in the lovable quirkiness, but also in our love for our Lord and Savior. We are blessed and grateful to be reflections of her.
She returned to school as a single mother of 8 and earned her nursing degree from PLU. She began her career as a consulting nurse but later found her joy in geriatric care.
Mom is survived by her son Arthur "Tim" and his wife Lisa and their family; her daughter Marita and her husband Don and their family; her son Mark and his family; her daughter Pamela and her husband Elvin; her son Roger and his wife Carolyn and their family; her son Karl and his wife Carmen and their family; her son Chris; and her son Dan and his family. She was predeceased by her daughter Artris but loved and is much beloved by Artris' children.
She is also survived by her beloved brother Tap and his family and by her beloved sister Walterlene and her family.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Living Grace Church 106 S 28th St Tacoma, WA. All who knew her are welcome to attend. If you have any purple clothing to wear, it was her favorite color.
