JAMES CAMMARANO Obituary

James Vincent Cammarano Jr. James was born in Tacoma, Washington to James Vincent and Nellie Cammarano on February 10th, 1933, and passed peacefully at home in University Place on November 30th, 2012. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge, The Knights of Columbus, and The Christopher Columbus Society, and he maintained his membership in the Tacoma Yacht Club after selling his boat "The Windy C". Dad enjoyed going down and having frequent dinners there and reminiscing about his favorite pastime, boating in the Puget Sound. He also loved golfing and traveling around the country in his many motor homes with his wife Gayle, or just staying home playing cards with friends and family. He especially enjoyed spending time at their beach condo in Westport, Washington. After his retirement from Cammarano Brothers in Tacoma, Washington, he spent many years snow-birding in California with his wife Gayle. James was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, but most recently by his wife of 55 years, Gayle Elizabeth Cammarano. He is survived by his sister, Virginia Burnham (Dwight), and also by his children James Vincent Cammarano, III, Kathryn Ann Lewandowsky (Stephen), Cynthia Marie Mercer (Mark), and Dana Francis Cammarano "Dan". He will be missed greatly by his five grandchildren, Brian, Eric, Kristopher, Stephanie and Jessica, and great-grandchildren Darrell, Shyann, and Abigail, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and a multitude of friends and coworkers. The family would like to thank all our friends and family for the many prayers during Dad's many illnesses throughout his life. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on December 8th, 2012 at Gaffney Funeral Home. Entombment at Calvary Cloisters. Please leave online condolences at www.gaffneycares.com.
