James Sannes Obituary

James "Jim" Sannes August 4, 1933 to May 30, 2006 Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend of many, passed into eternity 30 May 2006, while tending the tasks of a faithful servant. Jim leaves behind many people who loved him and were blessed to have known him. Included in those were his beloved wife and dear friend Phyllis Sannes, and children Royal and Carolyn Harris, Linda and Tim MacMillan, Eric Harris, David and Michelle Harris, Jimmy and Tracy Sannes, Laurie and John Heckel, Debbie Sannes, Leslie and Mike Zibell, Becky and Curtis Tygart, Margarett and Ken Butt, and Seburn Harris. In addition to these, Jim, who was a devoted grandfather, leaves behind over 45 grand children and great grand children. Jim's exemplary life will forever guide each of the lives of the children, friends, and family, whom he loved. Jim came from a large family. Among those he leaves behind are two brothers Jerry and Lowell Sannes, three sisters Marion Olsen, Eleanor Allen and Helen Stewart, and sisters-in-law, Dorothy and Ella Sannes, and close cousin Dale Madsen. Next to his Lord, and Family, Jim's greatest loyalty was to his country. He was extremely proud of being an American and of his 23 years of service in the United States Navy. A graveside service will be held Monday, June 5, 2006, at 2:30 P.M. at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, 13600 8th Ave East, Tacoma. 537-0201. A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM at Parkland Lutheran Church, 120 123rd St. South Tacoma, WA 98444 (off of Pacific Avenue). In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Parkland Lutheran School Gymnasium Fund in honor of James Sannes. "Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithfulÉ.."
