Tacoma , Washington - Born in Brush, Colorado, Jean was raised in Iowa before moving to Richland, Washington. There she graduated from Richland High School and met her husband of 56 years. Together she and Melvin had five children, David, Cynthia, Janet, James (predeceased) and Linda, 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren. Jean enjoyed gardening, reading, and many others pleasures throughout her life. But her passion was her family. She was an ardent Seattle Mariners and Seahawks fan and supporter of any and all family athletic involvement.
A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, June 11th, 11:30am at Mountain View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd. S.W. , Lakewood, Washington.

Those of us in the Gorospe family loved Jean and were so happy whenever she joined festivities at the Red House and at Jim and Rachel's. Her sweet and quiet spirit will be missed.
