JEFFREY McCOMAS Obituary

Jeffrey A. McComas Jeffrey Allen McComas, beloved father, son, and brother, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, April 4th, 2017 in San Diego, California. Jeff was a resident of Bonney Lake, Washington. Born in Puyallup, Washington on February 19th, 1955 to Mr. William McComas and Mrs. Lefa McComas, Jeff led a life full of love, happiness, joy and passion; for which he carried through the entirety of his life. Raised in Orting, Washington, Jeff was an accomplished and passionate athlete of Orting High School. Following high school graduation, Jeff became a student of Washington State University, where he continued his love of sports and academia. Upon graduation, he moved to Texas where he worked in cattle ranching before moving on to Atlanta, Georgia. Once in Atlanta, he began in an entry position at IBM, where his dedication and hard-work led to multiple promotions and opportunities. Jeff's efforts and energy at work mirrored his same attention and involvement to his family. Jeff never missed a baseball game or a swim meet for his kids. After years of success, Jeff left IBM to transition into self-employment, which was an immediate passion for him. Jeff was an achiever of dreams and a man of hard work; a father, son and brother of a proud family. Jeff's memory will be cherished by his son Tyler McComas and daughter-in-law Rachel of Suwanee, Georgia as well as his daughter Marisa McComas of Atlanta, Georgia and granddaughter Kyla, turning 1 this month. He is survived by his mother, Lefa McComas of Orting, Washington, his sisters Patricia Randolph (John) of Easton, Connecticut, Marjorie Morgan of Lynnwood, Washington, Sharon Bullion of Puyallup, Washington and JoAnn Johnson (Darrell) of Mercer Island, Washington. His brothers are Michael McComas of Sumner, Washington and James McComas (Marilyn) of Wrangell, Alaska. Jeff is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews, all of whom he cared for and was interested in deeply. He was predeceased by his father, William McComas, in 1987. A gathering to celebrate Jeff McComas, and the beautiful life and memory of him will be held by his family at The Eagles, in Orting, WA, on April 21st.

And I also was a Fraternity Brother at WSU with Jeff. I just saw this is The Caduceus Magazine Summer/Fall of 2019. It does seem like yesterday since we were at WSU.

Jeff you were a great guy and a radiant spirit.

Fellow brothers - we have lost a few and we should get together for fun and memories Our journey is short.

Jeff was a tremendous person - full of life and fun! We were fraternity brothers at WSU and won the 6 foot and under intramural championship. I knew we had something special that season in basketball because I had know all about Jeff's basketball expoits at Orting. Jeff, we will miss you and that infectious smile! I didn't find out till reading the WSU magazine. To say I was shocked would be an understatement.

My condolences to all of Jeff's family and friends. I was close with him at WSU at Kappa Sigma. Forestry was also my major at the time. I lost touch with him over time but still cherish the memories (or lack thereof), that we had at college. Bill Brandt (Toad)

To the family, loved ones. and friends. Growing up with Jeff (and all the other family members) was a great experience. Jeff was always full of energy and loved being active. Always ready to drop whatever he was doing to lend a hand if needed, or asked. My heart felt condolences to those that loved him and are left here without him. God Speed Jeff.
