Dear Kreger family, Just learned of his passing today, 10-28-2010. I worked with Jerry for many years. We were the two original members of the optical inspection group on the Saturn program in New Orleans. We worked several programs together after returning to Seattle. He helped me install my first CB radio in my car back in tne CB days. What a great guy to work with even tho sometimes his story-telling interfered with the task at hand. Since retirement, we kept in touch via email. He will be missed.

An unknowing mentor to a young man that one day would use Jerry's fathering techniques as a guide in raising his own children.
You did well Jerry, congratulations on a great life.

Uncle Jerry was a good and kind man who has been a part of my family for my entire life. I'm sad to say I didn't see him much these past few years, but I remember him as a cheerful and warm presence within my family who was always ready with a "Hey Kiddo," when I walked into a room. I'm very sorry to know that he is gone, but know that he will be loved, remembered, and honored by his family for always.

Jerry'll be missed - the stories were a'plenty. He had the best memory for detail of what happened 'back then'. Ask him a question about his Boeing career, whether it was about a manager, a program, a location, or for that part a specific tool or hardware problem. He still remembered the fixes he made to help the program's he supported - Saturn, Space Station, IUS, ALCM, B-2 - shoot - the list goes on and on. He seemed to have been everywhere - Huntsville, Louisiana, traveling to suppliers all over the country -- it was always fun to hear Jerry tell one of his stories -- usually spun right into another story! The real deal, though, is that Jerry helped pioneer some cool tooling inspection techniques -- new in his day, that today the company depends on every day. Okay - now for my story. I was working within the old Boeing Aerospace Company (BAC) in the Tooling organization --- 1982. I was young then, and had been dating and it was the day to go meet Bonnie's family - the initial meeting of the family - and it was an extended, normal Sunday family gathering that the Fannin family had every Sunday. So of course I knew i was walking into a situation where i was going to be walking in the door and meeting a bunch of people i didn't know, but wanted to make a favorable impression on. So as Bonnie took me in to meet the family we walked through the front door and the stairs into the family room -- and -- "Hey Bob - what're you doing here?" It was Jerry -- at work i sat about 40 feet from Jerry -- so - what a surprise -- neither Jerry nor I knew that we were dating sisters! Instantly comfortable, and somebody to visit with!!! Anyway that's my story. We're going to miss Jerry.
