Des Moines formerly Jamaica

Joshua Thomas Bryan of Des Moines, formerly of Jamaica, Iowa, died unexpectedly on April 7, 2014. A visitation will be held at Carris Funeral Home in Perry, Iowa on Saturday, April 12 from 5-9. Condolences can be shared at www.carrisfuneralhome.com

Josh was born to Shannon and Debra Bryan on December 29, 1979. He grew up on the family farm near Jamaica, Iowa with his parents and four younger siblings. He graduated from Perry High School in 1997. He attended Iowa State from 1998-2000, leaving to serve in the U.S. Army as a member of the 82nd Airborne. He completed his bachelor's degree from ISU in 2007 and worked in accounting services in Des Moines.

Josh is survived by his father, Shannon Bryan (Cindi Turner) of Jamaica; brothers Aaron (Melinda) of Grimes, Matt (Sarah) of Perry, Spencer of Ames; sister Meaghan (Tyler) of Ames; grandparents Robert Bryan and Juanita Wicker; nephew Aidan and niece Genevieve of Grimes; aunt Barb (Vern) Brock and uncles David Wicker and Brian Wicker; cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother Debra, and grandparents Nadene Bryan and David Wicker.

So Sorry to hear about this.. Josh was a wonderful young man. He was great friends with my X-son-in-law Justin Loyd..Heavy heart for his family and friends.
