Vancouver, Washington - Joyce "Toni" "Nina" Solveig Hirschy was born November 14, 1927 and passed away September 2, 2021. Toni was born in Tacoma, WA and lived there until 2016 when she moved to Vancouver, WA to be closer to her daughter Lynne.
Toni had a huge heart, a love of life and lived it to the fullest. She cared for everyone and had an open door policy to help out anyone in their time of need. Toni had a very strong faith her entire life and was actively involved in her church. She was very proud of her family and her Norwegian heritage. Toni was also a very accomplished artist and never met a craft project she didn't love. She found a love of travel later in life and traveled the world up until the end.
When Toni moved to Vancouver she became involved in many local community organizations with her daughter Lynne. Their favorites were Open House Ministries, Vancouver Downtown Association and Poet Laureate.
Toni was preceded in death by her husband Bruce "Pop" Hirschy who was the love of her life. They were married for 59 wonderful years. She was also preceded in death by her beloved son Kevin.
Toni is survived by her daughter Lynne Hirschy-Bowden (Dwaine) of Vancouver, WA, grandson Dennis Johnson and dog Poppy of San Francisco, CA, grandson Chris Johnson (Kim) of Honolulu, HI, grandson Josh Hirschy of Tacoma, WA, grandson Sean Bowden (Nanette) of Vancouver, WA, granddaughter Audra Price of Beaverton, OR and many other loving family members.
Memorial Services will be held at Mt View Funeral Home, 4100 Steilacoom Blvd SW, Lakewood, WA on Wednesday, September 8th at 2pm. Please wear bright colors and fun clothing to celebrate her amazing life. An after party will follow to celebrate Toni's love of life. Please make any donations in Toni's name to Elaine and Don Heimbigner Hospice Care Center in Vancouver, WA.
