Kay also volunteered for the Fort Nisqually and Spanaway Fire Department Women's Auxiliary Group. Family and family history were Kay's passions. Kay and I were on the Tribal Council at the same time. I remember her as a kind and gentle person who loved the Cowlitz people. We had many good times, laughing and sharing stories. She was a great asset to the tribe, and I will miss her.
