Leonard "Lenny" John Veitenheimer

May 26, 1947 - September 4, 2024

Mossyrock, Washington - Lenny was was born to his parents, Frank L and Verna Seaman Veitenheimer on May 26, 1947. He passed away on Sept. 4, 2024.

After graduating from Puyallup High School in 1965, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served in Vietnam.

In 1971 he met Judy Hodgins of Sumner, Wa. They started "Lenny's Autobody" in Puyallup. He later worked in the electrical wholesale business. In 1974, Lenny and Judy moved to McMillin, Wa. and married in 1978. He then started "Canyon Falls Autobody" in McMillin, Wa. Lenny was known for his expertise and incredible craftmanship restoring vehicles.

In 2015, they moved to Mossyrock, Wa to enjoy retirement and traveling to Oktoberfest celebrations. He enjoyed collecting beer steins, lederhosen, nutcracker figures, hats and pins that represented his German heritage. He loved to cook and was well known for his delicious potato salad and expecially the many flavors of homemade fudge!

Lenny is survived by his wife Judy, their sons, Matthew and Michael, brothers Frank and Charlie (Toni), sister Julie Camfield and cousin Vicki Pena, brother-in-law Bob Hodgins. Many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Private family internment was on October 11, 2024 at the Tahoma National Cementary, with military honors.

A "Celebration of Life" reception/luncheon will be held on Sunday, Oct 27th, 2024 from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. at "The Barn at Wilson Farm", 1425 210th Ave E., Lake Tapps, Wa 98391.
