Vancouver, Washington - Marcel Sallis was born on May 14th 1971, to the union of Michael and Marie Sallis in Chicago Illinois. He moved to Tacoma Washington with his family while still a young child.
Marcel Sallis departed this life on Friday June 9, 2023. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Sallis Sr, his maternal grandmother Louise Gresham, his maternal grandfather Paul Gresham Sr, his paternal grandmother Dorothy Corothers and his paternal grandfather Frank Corothers.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his children Denae Brown married to Elyse Brown, Tanika Sallis partnered with Omar Mendoza-Rodriguez, Jordan Sallis, Jerrell Sallis, Aliyah Sallis, and Anessa Sallis; mother Marie Sallis; brothers Michael Sallis Jr. and Martin Sallis; sister Sophia Kindle; grandson Omar Junior Mendoza Sallis; nephews Ryan Sallis and Ashanti Kindle; nieces Samara Sallis, Kate Sallis, Athena Sallis, and Michaela Kindle; aunts, uncles, cousins, a host of other relatives and friends.
Marcel fathered six beautiful children that he loved so very much, they are his legacy! Those who were blessed to know Marcel, know that he was one of the most loving, loyal and dedicated men who gave the best hugs and could make you laugh until you cried. Marcel Sallis loved the outdoors and fishing, was an avid animal lover and a decorated dog trainer for nearly 30 years.
He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
A celebration of life, honoring Marcel will be held on Thursday June 15, 2023.
