Marian Agnes Wales

Marian Agnes (Barta) Wales Passed away early Thursday, April 28th, at the age of 80. She was born Marian Haeringer on March 30, 1931 in Seattle, WA. Raised in Tacoma, she attended Stadium High School. She played the French Horn, read extensively and was lucky enough to travel across the USA and to London, Paris and Hong Kong. Her working career ended at Frank Russell Investments. Marian found great joy in life with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Her sons Chris McKay and Phil Barta preceded her departure, and she is survived by her aunt Joy (Glen) Radford, six other children, Cal Barta, Kim (Penny) Barta, Keith (Donna) Barta, Cathy Barta, Nancy Stray, and Margot (Russell) Post, 13 grandchildren, Kristine, Matthew, Thomas, Daniel, Andrew, Rebecca, Calvin, Adam, David, Josh, Jon, Tony, and Nicole, 3 great-grandsons, Emidio, Kaiden, and Luca, and her companion of 14 years, Sweetie the cat. Viewing between 2-4pm, Sunday, May 1st, 2011, funeral 11am Monday May 2nd at New Tacoma Cemetery.
