Michael Snyder Obituary
June 16, 1959 - March 22, 2022
Lakewood , Washington - Michael William Snyder, 62, passed away quietly early Tuesday morning.
Michael was born at the Selfridge Air Force Base in Michigan to Robert E. Snyder (Chicago, Il.) and Helga Margarete Schuler (Ingelheim, Germany).
After his father retired from the army in 1968, the family set out on an adventure wandering the countryside in an Apache popup trailer from Pennsylvania to Washington State.
Michael graduated from Clover Park High School in 1977 and continued on in his life as a commercial fisherman up in Alaska. Michael adored the sea and everything in it.
14 years ago, Michael was diagnosed with an aggressive untreatable disorder known as P.A.H. which slowly robbed him of his energy and will.
Michael was proceeded in death by his father, Robert E. Snyder. Michael is survived by his mother, Helga M. Snyder, sister, Elvera G Snyder, nephew Robert E. (Stacy) Sweeney of MN. and numerous cousins.
Per Michael's request, there will not be a church service.

When I moved to Lakewood in 5th grade Mike became my first (and best) new friend.
I'll always remember his fun loving nature and great sense of humor. RIP old friend.
