Mitchell Kiser Obituary

Mitchell Ray Kiser Mitch's journey began March 19, 1954 in Tacoma, Washington. He was called home to find peace and comfort May 26, 2020 at the age of 66, cancer won. He was the son of Ray and Eulene Kiser and spent most of his childhood, alongside his sister, Kim, in El Sobrante, CA. only to return with his family to the Tacoma area and build his life. He met his 'Bride' of 36 years, Brenda, and found their place on the Key Peninsula where they raised two (AMAZING) children, Travis and Shannon. During that time, he was honored with the title "Pops" and shared his heart with so many of his other 'kids'. Mitch was a part of a small family business until the day he retired. From there he became a part of the community where he created lasting friendships and most importantly, became "Papa" to Jemma and James. His father passed before him, leaving behind his mother, sister, wife, children, grandchildren and a plethora of extended family and friends to mourn his loss. Mitch had many talents he picked up through life, but welding and tinkering were his favorite. He took pride in his home and his creations can be seen all around the yard. His laugh was always genuine, his kindness and generosity were extreme and his beer was always cold. He will be lovingly remembered and missed enormously by all who knew him. *A gathering in his honor will be held at a later date.*

Mitchell and I are Double Cousins. Our Birthdays were 6 days apart. We all were raised like one big family.
I am not sure when I finally figured out he was my Cousin, not my Brother.
We had so much fun growing up. Water skiing at Stoney Gorge. Later as we
got older THE CADILLAC was a low riding event. So much fun.
If I needed him he was always there.
I know he has a lot of Family and Friends who are in Heaven with him now. God Bless you Cuz keep smiling.

Mitchell was a childhood neighbor and friend who touched my forever. His family, Mom, Dad, and Kimbo lived on Kay Ann Court in El Sobrante, which was one court over from ours, Lesti Lane. There was a short cut through the field that we could take to each others house. Many fond memories were made on Kay Ann Ct. and Lesti Lane with Mitchell, Kimb, and SEVERAL friends, namely Tony Brockman! He could have easily been Eulene and Rays third child. Mitchells tender teasing nickname for Tony was Spot! We were all so blessed to keep our friendships from CA to WA and vice-versa! Mitchells sweet, caring, and charismatic qualities were just a few to mention. His deep voice and hearty laugh created a sense of genuine protectiveness to everyone around him.
Mitchell was devoted deeply to his family. He was a proud son, brother, husband, Dad and Grandpa! He will live on in all of your ♥s forever.
My thoughts, prayers, and love are with all of you always. ✝

*Rest your loving soul and spirit my friend.

"No time on earth is long enough to share with those we love, or to prepare our hearts for good-bye" I'll luv you forever Mitchell!!! Till we meet again... Luv ya, Me

Mitchell, as I write this I am currently visualizing the first time I met you when Stevie brought you over to help repair my bathroom...walking in at 8:00 A.M. with a half rack (maybe two) of Rainier under your arm, a huge smile on your face, a twinkle in your eye, saying "Hey dee Hey, Hi dee Ho" :)

How do you write a eulogy for someone you are not willing to say good bye to yet? This was never discussed over the forty plus years of Stevie and you, Mitchell, "hanging out" and going through life together, "brothers of different Mothers".

All we know is that you are leaving behind a multitude of people who loved the hell out of you and we will miss you FOREVER. The wonderful MEMORIES of you, Mitch, (the man who was kind hearted, overly generous, with a huge smile, an infectious laugh and always willing to party) HAVE BEEN IMPRINTED ON OUR HEARTS FOREVER.

We are sending our deepest condolences and Much Love to the entire Kiser family; wonderful bride Brenda, amazing children Travis, Shannon (and families), Eulene, Kim, Fred, Kristy (and family), Kelly (and family) and ALL the other members that make up your incredible Family.

xoxo

Mitchell was part of "The Gang" at DeAnza. Always wore a white t shirt and dark blue Levi's in high school as did the rest of the back lawn gang. Mitch was soooo cute and the nicest guy to me. I remember his laugh. Rest in peace, Mitch. Thanks for being a good guy.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Growing up, I remember Uncle Mitch as being happy all the time. I never saw him without a smile on his face and a beer in his hand! He took such great care of his family, and he was an awesome Pops to his kids and grandbabies. He will be greatly missed!

I'm so sorry for your loss, and I wish you comfort and peace in your heart. Remembering you all in my thoughts and prayers; today and always. I love you! ❤

Mitch's wife Brenda is my cousin. I only met Mitch a few times but will always remember how cheerful he was and his big smile. I can still hear my aunt saying "Mitchell" in only a way she could as he drove off in his pickup truck. My thoughts are with cousin Brenda, Mitch's children Shannon and Travis and their families at this sad time.

I met Mitchell through his sister, Kim, when their family lived in El Sobrante. Kim was, and still is to this day, my very best friend. During those El Sobrante days before Kim and I were able to drive, Mitch, along with his buddies (usually Tony or Ron), had the great responsibility of driving us where we needed to go. I think that was the bargain he had to make with his parents to have the privilege of cruising around in that beautiful Cadillac! Those were great memories that I'll always remember. I'll totally miss seeing Mitch at family gatherings. My heartfelt wishes and prayers go out to Brenda and the whole family during this difficult time.

Mitch was a great friend of 40 some years, we had a great time, laughing, horsing around and drinking beer together. We got busy with our lives and sort of lost contact with each other but never our friendship. He'll be in my thoughts always and I will miss him.

Pops was amazing, my father died when I was 5 months old and so I always had something missing. Pops filled it up to the brim, amazing man for sure. Anyone that has ever met him, i don't care if it is for a brief second, or for years, he made his impression, he made his mark in all of our hearts. I love you pops, and ill never forget you. Tay

We had the pleasure of being neighbors for over 20 years. He was always there to lend a helping hand. He spent many hours on his tractor in the ditch trying to keep the road from flooding. He always had a kind work and happy smile. He will be missed. RIP our friend!

Mitch's passing was expected but unwelcome. My memories go back a long time, at least to his early teen years. They make me smile. He was a good friend to my brother even when Ron was tough to be a good friend to. That's the definition of a good friend. He was my friend and always there for me. Whether to check on the house, borrow a tool, advice on where to get something fixed, or how to fix it. He never let me down. For me Washington, in general, and the Key Peninsula, in particular, won't be the same without him. I'm glad I got to ride in the Jeep.

Mitch was such a great man. I can say he loved his family and that wife was still called his bride. He love to be with family and friends and share some good stories. He was also very talented. So many good times and his grandchildren were his new hobby. We also have had the privilege of having them as neighbors just not next door. I pray that we keep his family in your prayers in the coming days, We look forward to the day when we are all reunited. May the Angels take good care of him and may we never forget those who will need us now.Brenda, Travis,Shannon

Mitch was the most genuine and generous person I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. Never once did he have a bad thing to say about anyone. His smile and personality could lift you up on even your worst day. He will be sorely missed. Comfort comes in knowing he's not really gone, he just went home a little early.
