Paul Puppe Obituary

Paul Rodney Puppe Born Aug. 20, 1963 - Died Mar. 14, 2008 Devoted husband and loving father, ended his fight with cancer on March 14, 2008 in University Place, WA. Paul had spent most of his life here in University Place; since 1967. Over the years Paul's life took him places, but he always came home. Paul is survived by his wife TerriLynn and their three sons Kasey, Johnathan and Sampson. Also survived by sons David, Paul and Joshua, father Rodney Anderson and step-mother Nancy, sister Kristine Greene and her husband Ron, in-laws Terry and Pam Clontz, grandparents Bruce and Rachel Ryder, Anna "G-G-ma" Ryder, sister-in-law Cesi Clontz, 2 nephews, 5 nieces, and several cousins, aunts, and uncles. Paul was preceded in death by his mother Kathleen "Kaye" Puppe on July 11, 1997, and his brother-in-law David Clontz on March 6, 2003. Paul was an avid collector of classic Datsun trucks, a passion he shared with and passed on to his youngest sons. Our family trips to bring them home will never be forgotten. If there wasn't a vehicle that needed his attention, he was busy in the yard he loved so much. A memorial service is being held at the Chambers Creek Chapel of the New Tacoma Cemetery on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 1pm.

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I have known Paul since elementary school. In high school I took driver's ed with him. I still remember Mr. Wood yelling at him to slow down as we cruised through Fircrest! I was so sad when my sister called me and told me of his passing.

I was saddened to hear of Paul's passing and would like to express condolences to his family. I met Paul at Narrows View Elementary (I think in Kindergarten). I have great memories of us as kids. We enjoyed camping and hanging out with our dads in YMCA Indian Guides. We also attended summer day camp at Sprinker together. Catching up with Paul at reunions was always a highlight.

My first entery might have been to long, I have known paul since about 1975, had our disagrements over the years, but we always were friends. One of the last times I talked to him, I told him that, and how I will always remeber him, he was like a bother to me, and lived with my mother at a time that she could not afford to feed a nethor person, but she saw that Paul was a good person and worth the sacrafice. I saw Paul a couple hours before his death, and a told him howmuch he ment to me and what a big part he played in my life and to have no regrets. Party on PAUL and rest in peace.
