Such a humble and genuinely nice person. I had an opportunity to work with Tony many years ago. Thank you for your service to our nation and community as a correctional deputy. You will be missed by all!

I am deeply saddened to hear about the passing of our colleague, Officer Phil Griego (he once told me he hated the title change :) ). Losing someone from our work family is never easy, and I know that he will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

Phil was not only a dedicated professional but also a warm and kind-hearted person. His contributions to our team were invaluable, and since he retired, he has left behind a legacy that will continue to inspire us.

During this difficult time, let us come together to support one another.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Phil's family and friends. May he rest in peace.

I worked with Phil at the Pierce County jail. I enjoyed working with Phil. He always had a good sense of humor and made working in a Jail a better place. When I was new, I always appreciated the things I learned from the senior officers. Phil, I will always remember you wearing the heck out of the furry collared bright green nylon County issued coat. Rest in Peace my friend.

I worked with Phil his last 8 years at the jail. When I was new, I often worked overtime with him in intake, my first year I preferred to work with seasoned officers to learn from them...I learned a lot from this man that helped shape the officer I was to become. I enjoyed his knowledge, quick wit, and his humor. Rest in Peace Phil, you've earned it.
