University Place, Washington - Born in Tacoma WA, Bob was adopted by the kindest, most loving parents, Ted and Loretta Bruback. Bob died at Allenmore Hospital with his forever wife, Karen, at his side. Bob was a proud graduate of Bellarmine Prep, University of Puget Sound, and the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington. He had a remarkable career in banking, spanning over 4 decades in the Tacoma area. First, with Puget Sound Bank, later Columbia Bank, and ended his career retiring from Heritage Bank. Through his banking relationships, Bob seemed to know everyone in town. Bob's nature was to give back to this community he loved, having served in leadership roles for countless community organizations. Bob was a generous, loving husband, cared deeply for his daughter Kelly, and for Karen's children and their families. His Catholic faith was a vital part of his life and truly sustained him in his last days. He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Karen, her son Randall Ellis and family, her daughter Maggie Bigler and family, his daughter Kelly Norton and family, and by his extended Bruback and Brubak families. There will be a funeral mass for Bob on July 8, 11:00, at St Patrick Catholic Church, 1123 North J St, Tacoma WA 98403. A gathering for family and friends will be held in the Pagoda at Point Defiance Park from 3:00-5:00.
