ROBERTA McKINNEY Obituary

Roberta "Robin" McKinney Of Tacoma, WA, was born on February 14th, 1962 and passed away on April 27th, 2016. Robin graduated from Lincoln High School and the U.S. Naval Academy. She served 12 years in the Navy. Most recently Robin worked for Pierce County managing facilities contracts. Robin has four surviving siblings, William Grant McKinney, II, Lawrence McKinney, David McKinney, and Liz Becker, and a large number of nieces, nephews, and cousins. Robin's memorial will be held on May 7th at 1 pm. For more information about Robin and her memorial service, or to share condolences and memories, please visit www.tacomamausoleum.com.

I am so sorry to hear about Robin's passing. I became acquainted with her through my job at WSU Energy Program. She really cared about people and their stories, even though she had struggles and challenges of her own. She had a great sense of humor and took life as it came. Condolences to the family. She treasured reconnecting with you the last several years.

I worked with Robin through her job at Pierce County. She became a friend in the 6 years we contracted with them. She was such a genuine person with a love of life. She will truly be missed.

Robin and I attended the Naval Acdemy. She was a pioneer and made her family and the Navy very proud. She displayed much courage and strong will in all the time I've known her. Fair winds and following seas Dear Shipmate. God Bless!
